Chrysler has announced that they will be recalling certain Chrysler and Dodge trucks and SUV’s because a rear axle adhesive patch may have not been installed during manufacturing. The omission of this patch could lead to the rear axle pinion nut loosening. The axle could lock up and cause a loss of vehicle control and/or a vehicle crash. Chrysler will start notifying owners beginning in March, and dealers will install a retainer nut to prevent the rear axle pinion nut from loosening.
