General Motors (GM) have announced a recall for approximately twelve thousand 2013 Cadillac XTS vehicles because the rear seat headrests may not meet the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. According to GM, the rear seat head restraints may fail to lock in the upright position after being folded forward. If the head restraint is at its lowest position and it falls forward during a vehicle crash, the rear seat passengers could experience an increased chance of neck injury. GM have already started to contact owners with vehicles that could experience this problem and will inspect and replace any affected head restraints. For more information about the problem, owners may contact General Motors at 1-800-458-8006.
