Mitsubishi has announced a recall for certain 2011 Outlander Sport SUVs manufactured between August 26, 2010 – March 29, 201. The recall comes after an investigation into customer complaints of the panoramic glass roof on their vehicles becoming detached.

According to the recall report filed by Mitsubishi, the necessary primer needed to adhere the sunroof to the vehicle may have not been applied during installation. Continued use of these vehicles could result in reduced glass roof adhesion and complete detachment of the panoramic glass roof.

Mitsubishi dealers will inspect the sun roof to determine if the primer was applied during production. Vehicles without primer will be removed and installed properly at no charge to the customer. Owners seeking reimbursement for any expenses associated with this recall will be directed in the notification letter to contact Mitsubishi Customer relations for instructions on how to apply for a refund. Owners wanting more information about the recall can contact Mitsubishi at 1-888-648-7820.
