Subaru will be recalling approximately ten thousand 2014 Subaru Forester vehicles manufactured between January 2013 – March 2013. According to the automobile manufacturer, certain vehicles have floor mats in which the resin composition used in the backing was not manufactured to the correct specifications. The mats could curl when exposed to heat, creating a distraction for the driver and potentially interfering with the proper operation of the vehicle clutch, brake, or accelerator pedals. The problem could result in an accident. Owners receiving a recall notification will be asked to take their old carpeted floor mats to their dealership to have all four of them replaced with new ones. For more information about the problem contact Subaru at 1-800-782-2783.
