Our California lemon law offices were recently contacted by a Delano, California resident who had purchased a Buick Lacrosse that was experiencing suspension problems.

He had purchased the mid-size luxury sedan brand new and had no major problems until a year later with approximately 17,000 miles on the odometer. The Lacrosse started to experience squeaks and vibrations that resulted in an uncomfortable ride, questionable handling, and premature tire wear. Over the next ten (10) months the vehicle was in for repairs at the dealership seven (7) times. Technicians replaced bushings, struts, and joints throughout the system, but the problem would continually return. At this point, a friend told our client about the California lemon law and the Law Offices Of Delsack & Associates. He immediately contacted us.

Because the client had kept neat and accurate documentation of the problem, and had four or more repair attempts, we were able to rapidly determine that this was a potential lemon law case.  After being retained we promptly submitted a buyback demand to General Motors demanding that it repurchase the vehicle under the California Lemon Law statute. Approximately 45 days thereafter GM agreed to buy back the car, reimburse our client for his down payment and all monthly payments, minus only the manufacturer’s usage fee as allowed by the California Lemon Law. All attorney fees were also paid by GM.
