Chrysler will be conducting a recall on certain 2013 Chrysler 200 and 2013 Dodge Avenger vehicles because there is a chance that there could be a broken control valve assembly in the fuel tank. The cracked valve could lead to fuel leaks and/or engine stalls, increasing the chance of fire and/or an accident. (The problem was discovered by the fuel tank supplier TI Automotive when they noticed broken control valve pieces during cleanup.) Owners receiving a recall notice will be asked by Chrysler to take their vehicles in to inspect and replace the tank assembly and vapor canister as required. Owners wanting more information about the problem can contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753.
