Drivers of certain 2012-2013 Toyota sedans could experience unexpected airbag warning lights and the possible loss of power steering assist function, due to water from the air conditioning condenser unit leaking onto the vehicles airbag control module. According to an announcement on Toyota’s website, approximately 803,000 vehicles could be affected by this problem. The vehicles involved include:

Toyota encourages all owners receiving a notification about the problem to take their vehicles to their nearest dealership to have a cover and sealant installed to the air conditioning condenser unit housing seam located above the airbag control module.
