Chrysler is recalling certain 2013 Dodge Challenger vehicles manufactured in December 2012 and January 2013 and equipped with a V6 engine. Some of these vehicles could experience an electrical short circuit between the starter motor B+ cable assembly electrical terminal and the starter solenoid. This condition could lead to a vehicle fire without warning. Chrysler has already begun notifying owners of the problem and are advising drivers to immediately stop using the vehicles and to park their vehicles outdoors away from any structure. Dealers will replace the under hood starter cable assembly. For more information about the problem owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753.
