Nissan is recalling an undetermined amount of 2013 cars and SUV’s for problems with the passenger airbag sensors. The passenger occupant detection system (ODS) may have been manufactured out of specification causing the system to permanently suppress the passenger airbag. In the event of an accident the airbag will not deploy increasing the chance of injury. Nissan will begin notifying owners of the problem starting in April, and dealers will inspect and replace the ODS sensors as necessary. The vehicles involved in this recall include:

Nissan will also be recalling certain 2013 Nissan Sentra vehicles manufactured between September 11, 2012 to October 4, 2012 at the Aguascalientes, Mexico plant. Due to a manufacturing process variation at the fuel tank supplier, certain 2013 Sentra vehicles may have been fitted with fuel tank assemblies that were not properly sealed. Drivers may notice fuel leaks or smell, especially when the tank is full. Owners of all potentially affected vehicles will be notified to take their vehicles to a Nissan dealer to have the tank inspected and replaced if necessary.
