Honda is recalling certain 2009-2013 Pilot SUV’s and 2011-2013 Odyssey minivans for a problem with airbags. According to Honda, one or more rivets attaching the airbag module to the airbag cover may have not been installed during manufacturing. The missing rivets could alter the performance of the airbag deployment increasing the risk of injury to the driver during a crash. Honda will start notifying customers of the problem starting mid February and will instruct dealerships to inspect all driver’s side airbags and replace affected ones as necessary. For more information about the problem, owners can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
