Subaru is recalling certain 2010-2011 Legacy, 2010-2011 Outback, 2006-2012 Tribeca, and 2009-2012 Forester vehicles equipped with accessory puddle lights. According to Subaru, moisture could get into the circuit board and connector of the puddle lights causing a short. The short could generate enough heat to melt the plastic and could result in smoke and eventually fire. Owners receiving a notice about the problem can take their vehicle to their nearest dealership to have an additional fuse harness installed.
