Ford Motor Co. will be recalling almost 33,500 of its 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans built from December 11-February 3 in Hermosilo, Mexico, and some 2010 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer SUV’s built from December 15-February 3 in Louisville, Kentucky. There have not been any reported injuries, but a potentially faulty front seat recliner mechanism could fail during a collision, which may lead to injuries.

The automaker said it expects to begin notifying owners of the recall by letter on April 30.

Toyota will be recalling about 600,000 first and second generation 1998-2010 Sienna 2WD minivans for the spare tire carrier cable. The vehicles affected will most likely be ones that have been exposed to prolonged salty road conditions causing the cable to corrode and possibly fail.

Toyota is currently working to develop a remedy for this condition, but until this remedy is developed, customers will receive an interim notice instructing them to bring their vehicle to a dealership for a preliminary inspection.

2006 Saturn Outlook – Fuel System problem – On some motor homes built on a Ford chassis, the fasteners holding the fuel tank mounting may not have been properly tightened which could mean the fuel tank might loosen and fall. If this happens, there is the possibility for the tank to ignite which could result in personal injury, and property damage. Please call you dealership to schedule an appointment immediately.

2006 Saturn Outlook – structure problem – On certain motor homes equipped with Kwikee electric steps, the steps may have been manufactured incorrectly. The defective control unit could develop an electrical short which could cause the plastic case to ignite. This could result in a personal injury and/or vehicle property damage. Please contact your dealer immediately.

2006 Cadillac Escalade – Defective power steering hoses that may leak fluid or fracture. In some cases this
could CAUSE LOSS OF POWER BRAKES AND POSSIBLY AN ENGINE FIRE. PLEASE CALL YOUR GENERAL MOTORS DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM.
