An increase in warranty claims on certain 2012-2013 Volkswagen Passat cars has resulted in the automobile manufacturer identifying an issue with the headlights. They will notifying owners of the affected vehicles with instructions to make an appointment with an authorized dealer to have the problem repaired. Tesla Model S Charging Adapter Could Overheat
Tesla has acknowledged a problem affecting certain Universal Mobile Connectors (“UMC”) NEMA 14-50 adapters used to charge Tesla Model S vehicles. According to the recall report, a variety of factors such as corrosion, physical damage to receptacles, or inappropriate installation of electrical outlets can cause higher than normal electrical resistance. Electrical resistance heating in the adapter or at the wall socket could lead to melting of the adapter, cord or wall receptacle. Maserati North America has determined that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in sixty three 2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS V8 vehicles. Electrical Short Reduces Visibility In Toyota Avalon, Camry, & Corolla Cars
During a routine manufacturing inspection of certain Avalon, Camry, and Corolla cars, Toyota found a number of the vehicles in which the wiper function would become inoperative. After an investigation, Toyota has identified a problem with the windshield wiper switch and will be asking owners to take their vehicles into their nearest Toyota repair facility to have the problem fixed.
