Owners of certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra trucks equipped with 4.3L or 5.3L engines, may experience an illuminated “check engine warning light” when the vehicle is idling in cold temperatures. GM has reported that approximately 300,000 full size pickups are at risk of fire because of the problem and are asking owners to not leave their trucks unattended while idling, until repairs can be made. BMW Motorcycle Fuel Leak Problems
BMW of North America, LLC will be asking owners of certain 2005-2012 BMW R model, K model, S 1000 RR, and HP2 motorcycles to take their vehicles to the nearest BMW manufacturer approved repair facility to remedy a problem with the fuel system. This recall is the result of an engineering analysis (EA13-006) opened by the NHTSA in July 2013. The problem affects the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump on applicable models. Continue reading

General Motors has identified a defect in certain 2012-2013 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra chassis cab vehicles equipped with 6.6L diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. Lincoln MKZ Hybrid Transmission Sensor Fault
Ford will be asking owners of certain 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, mid size luxury cars, to return their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealership to have repairs done to the power train. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, some vehicles manufactured between April 26, 2012, through September 24, 2013 may fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 114, “Theft Protection and Roll-away Prevention”. 2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS Alternator Problem
Maserati North America has determined that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in sixty three 2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS V8 vehicles. The automobile manufacturer has notified the NHTSA about the defect and will be asking owners to take their vehicles in to the nearest manufacturer approved repair facility to have electrical repairs done to the alternator starter wiring harness. Automatic Transmission Failure In Certain Chrysler & Dodge Vehicles

2013 BMW X3 Airbag Safety Problem
BMW will be contacting a small number of 2013 X3 xDrive 28i/35i vehicle owners to alert them about a manufacturing error affecting airbag deployment. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, three of the crossover vehicles, assembled between February 11, 2013 through February 27, 2013 were fitted with an instrument panel that may have been incorrectly manufactured. 2014 Acura MDX Drive Shaft Failure
Honda has identified a problem with certain 2014 Acura MDX AWD mid-size luxury crossover SUV’s, which could result in the drive shaft bolts loosening, possibly allowing the shaft to detach. In support of this recall, service bulletin 13-042 has been posted on Honda’s Integrated Service Information System (ISIS) which includes inspection, repair, parts, and warranty information related to this campaign.
