Chrysler has identified a problem in certain 2006-2012 Dodge Ram trucks that could lead to failure of the tie rod assembly and loss of steering control. The automobile manufacturer is aware of six accidents and two injuries involving 2008-2012 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups.

In order to identify all vehicles requiring repair, Chrysler will be asking approximately 1.2 million truck owners to return their trucks to the nearest dealership to have them inspected. The trucks involved include:
