2014 Jaguar XF Loss Of Braking
Jaguar Land Rover have filed a non-compliance report with the NHTSA involving a small number of 2013-2014 Jaguar XF cars. During accelerated durability testing it was found that the right hand rear brake pipe was chaffing on the rear sub frame bracket. Contact between the two parts could result in wear on the brake pipe and eventual sudden loss of brake fluid. Drivers will experience an illuminated low brake fluid warning light and stopping distances will be increased . Drivers of certain 2008-2010 Chrysler and Dodge minivans and crossover SUVs could experience an unexpected engine shut off while driving over rough roadway condition or when the driver accidentally bumps the vehicle key Fob. Rupturing Airbags Prompt NHTSA Investigation
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have announced that they will be opening an investigation into automobiles from five major automobile manufacturers for problems with airbags that could rupture and injure vehicle occupants. The announcement comes after six reports of air bag inflator ruptures occurring in areas that have consistently hot, humid conditions. The NHTSA has received notification from BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota that they will be issuing limited regional recalls to repair possible safety defects involving these Takata brand air bag inflators. Ignition Switch Problems For Buick, Cadillac, And Chevy Cars
General Motors continues to expand their recall for ignition switches that could unexpectedly shut of when the ignition key is bumped or when driving on rough road conditions. The problem has resulted in unexpected loss of engine power and can affect power steering, power braking, and airbag deployment. 2008-2011 Mazda Tribute Electric Steering Problem
Certain 2008-2011 Mazda Tribute vehicles built at the Kansas City Assembly Plant between October 2006 to September 2010 could be affected by a problem that could lead to loss of power steering assist. Mazda will be sending notices sometime in July, but are encouraging drivers experiencing issue with their steering to return their vehicle to a manufacturer approved dealer to have repairs done as soon as possible.
