The rear axle hub bearing assemblies of certain 2015 Toyota Yaris vehicles may have one or more rear axle bearing bolts which have not been sufficiently tightened during the manufacturing process. The bolts may become loose during operation a could detach completely. The detached bolts could damage rear brake components resulting in reduced braking an a potential wheel lockup.

Owners will be notified to return to their Toyota dealer to have the rear axle hub bearing bolts inspected. If a bolt is found to be loose, the dealer will re-tighten them with the specified tightening torque. If a bolt is detached, the dealer will replace the rear axle hub bearing assembly and rear brake components with new ones.
