2011-2013 Chevy Volt Software Safety Defect
General Motors will be notifying certain 2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt owners about a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. According to reports, it is possible that drivers could exit their vehicle while inadvertently leaving them “On”. After a period of time, the vehicle’s battery could drain and the vehicle’s gas engine will automatically start to run to recharge it. 2014 Chevy Impala Overheating Brakes
A defect affecting certain 2014 Chevrolet Impala cars will have over one thousand owners returning to their dealerships a second time for repairs. According to reports, some Impala’s repaired under recall 14V-541 may have existing electronic parking brake software that will cause the brake pads to stay partially engaged with the rotor. The driver may experience poor vehicle acceleration, undesired deceleration, excessive brake heat, and premature wear to some brake components. Chrysler will be asking the owners of certain 2014–2015 Jeep Cherokee SUVs, built between January 1, 2013 to November 19, 2014, to return to their dealership for repairs. According to reports filed on the NHTSA website, the affected vehicles could experience unintended side curtain and seat air bag deployment during operation. Audi A4, S4, and AllRoad Airbag Defect
Volkswagen will be asking approximately one hundred thousand owners of certain 2013-2015 Audi A4 and S4 sedans and 2013-2015 Audi AllRoad crossovers, to return their vehicles to the manufacturer to have the airbag control software updated. During routine testing, the manufacturer identified a potential issue with the frontal airbag system deployment parameters which could result in the front airbags not deploying during a second impact, after the side airbags have been deployed. Chevrolet Silverado Inaudible Warning Indicator
The owners of certain 2014-2015 Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUV’s equipped with base radio and an internal amplifier, could experience problems that will leave drivers with no audible warning indicators. This “No Chime Condition” will require that the vehicle be returned to the nearest dealership to have the radio software updated. The defect could leave drivers with no audible warning if the key is left in the ignition, the driver’s door is opened, or if the front passenger seat belt is not buckled. 2008-2011 Mazda Tribute Electric Steering Problem
Certain 2008-2011 Mazda Tribute vehicles built at the Kansas City Assembly Plant between October 2006 to September 2010 could be affected by a problem that could lead to loss of power steering assist. Mazda will be sending notices sometime in July, but are encouraging drivers experiencing issue with their steering to return their vehicle to a manufacturer approved dealer to have repairs done as soon as possible.
