2013-2015 Nissan Altima Repeated Repair Attempt

Nissan will be notifying the owners of certain 2013-2015 Altima‘s about a safety problem affecting the hood latch of their cars. According to reports, these vehicles have been previously repaired under recalls 14V-565 and 15V-116.

A manufacturing error affecting the hood latch assembly in some of the subject vehicles may result in poor paint adhesion to the latch. Over time exposed metal may corrode and cause mechanical binding that may result in the latch to remain in the open position. If the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving. Continue reading →

General Motors has decided that a defect relating to vehicle safety exists in certain 2016 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles, and will be asking owners to return to their dealerships for repairs. Ferrari will be contacting approximately 304 owners of certain 2016 Ferrari California T vehicles about a manufacturing problem affecting the fuel system. According to reports filed with the NHTSA, an improper coating treatment of the low pressure fuel line connection on the fuel pump feed pipe could result in a fuel evaporation leak during the engine start phase. According to reports, a routine vehicle inspection found a quality issue with certain transmission shift selector knob parts. According to reports, the lobe of the sintered cam which drives the high pressure fuel injection pump and the vacuum pump, could shear off from the camshaft. A small number of 2015 Volkswagen E-Golf, Golf, and Jetta owners will be receiving notices about a problem affecting the front passenger airbag in their vehicles. According to the defect report, an electromagnetic coil inside a module in the Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) may have been manufactured with improper insulation between the coil layers. Over time, the characteristics of the coil could change and give erroneous front passenger classification readings.
