Hyundai has announced a recall for certain 2007-2011 Kia vehicles because of an electrical problem that could affect electrical systems throughout the vehicle. Due to a manufacturing error, the stop lamp switch in some of these vehicles could malfunction. It could cause: the brake lights to not operate when the brakes are depressed, the inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake, could intermittently affect the operation of push button start features and brake transmission shift interlock features, and cause the electronic stability control (ECS) malfunction light to illuminate.
