Volkswagen will be asking owners of certain 2013-2014 Jetta Hybrid cars to return their vehicles to the nearest VW dealership to have the gearbox oil replaced. Approximately 3,837 cars manufactured between October 2012 to October 2013, and equipped with a DQ- 200 direct shift gearboxes, could experience a sudden loss of power while driving because of this problem. Volkswagen is recalling a small number of 2012 Routan minivans for a problem with the right hand rear hub and bearing assemblies. According to VW, the vehicles affected were built between November 15 to November 21, 2011, and were installed with a hub and bearing assembly that was not fully machined by the manufacturer. The assemblies could wear out prematurely, leading to wheel separation and an increased risk of an accident. Owners wanting more information on the problem can contact Volkswagen at 1-800-822-8987. Last week, Chrysler issued a similar recall involving certain 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.

2009 Volkswagen Eos – Power train problem – They are recalling certain vehicles manufactured between September 2008 and August 2009. They may have wires that were not crimped correctly and thus the transmission may shift to neutral suddenly because of an improper detection. This abrupt shift to neutral could cause a crash without warning. Please call your dealer immediately to schedule an appointment.
