Lexus Fuel Leak Safety Problem

Toyota will be contacting the owners of approximately 422,000 Lexus GS, IS, and LS vehicles to return to their dealerships for a problem with the fuel delivery system.

According to reports filed with the NHTSA, the affected vehicles were manufactured with a plating on the fuel delivery lines to protect against corrosion. This plating could result in the sealing property of the gasket seated between the pressure sensor and the pipe to become degraded. Chrysler And Dodge Minivan Overheating Vent Switches

An investigation into overheating window vent switches on some 2010-2014 Chrysler Town and Country and 2010-2014 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans will have owners returning their vehicles to have repairs done. The investigation began in early October 2012, after the automobile manufacturer identified seven warranty claims in which the vent switches were replaced because they had melted. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to the issue, but as of April 2014, Chrysler has identified approximately 36 reports of the problem. Continue reading →

GM Truck Transmission Oil Leaks

General Motors have identified a defect in certain Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUV’s equipped with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. They are asking owners to return their vehicles to a manufacturer approved repair facility to have the problem fixed. GM’s recall number is 14121 and the NHTSA campaign number is 14V-152. Repeated Check Engine Light On 2014 Silverado Or Sierra Truck?

Owners of certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra trucks equipped with 4.3L or 5.3L engines, may experience an illuminated “check engine warning light” when the vehicle is idling in cold temperatures. GM has reported that approximately 300,000 full size pickups are at risk of fire because of the problem and are asking owners to not leave their trucks unattended while idling, until repairs can be made.
