2014 Dodge SRT Viper Airbag Deployment Problem
Owners of certain 2014 Dodge SRT Viper vehicles manufactured between November 28, 2012 to June 26, 2014, will be notified by the manufacturer to have their vehicles repaired for an airbag safety problem.
According to the recall report, these vehicles may experience an incorrect airbag deployment velocity, due to inaccurate seat position sensors. An improper air gap between the seat track position sensor and the seat track detection plate could result in the airbag deploying with too much or too little force. Continue reading

An incorrectly assembled airbag will have a small number of BMW owners returning their vehicles to a manufacturer approved repair facility to correct the problem. General Motors has decided that a defect relating to airbag safety exists in certain 2014 Corvette sports cars. Owners will be issued notices with instructions to return to their dealership to have the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) replaced, free of charge. Rupturing Airbags Prompt NHTSA Investigation
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have announced that they will be opening an investigation into automobiles from five major automobile manufacturers for problems with airbags that could rupture and injure vehicle occupants. The announcement comes after six reports of air bag inflator ruptures occurring in areas that have consistently hot, humid conditions. The NHTSA has received notification from BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota that they will be issuing limited regional recalls to repair possible safety defects involving these Takata brand air bag inflators. 2014 Hyundai Tucson Airbag Safety Problem
Certain 2011-2014 Hyundai Tucson vehicle may be affected by a manufacturing problem that could lead to the drivers side airbag inadvertently deploying or not deploy at all during an accident.
According to reports filed with the NHTSA, during assembly, it is possible that the bolts attaching the driver’s airbag module to the steering wheel assembly were not properly torqued. Over time, the bolts could loosen causing a rattling noise and could eventually detach from the steering wheel completely. There have been no reports of accidents or injury because of the problem.
