This 2025 RAM PROMASTER recall affects the BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA Manufactured by Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) from 2021-08-17 through 2025-05-14
Description Of Defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Ram ProMaster vehicles. A software error in the security gateway module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Conseqence Of Defect
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will update the security gateway module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 12, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 40C.

Description Of Defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Ram ProMaster battery electric (BEV) vehicles. The electric drive module software may not effectively manage torque, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Conseqence Of Defect
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will update the software for the motor control processor, battery processor control module, integrated dual charge module, and electric vehicle control unit. Additionally, dealers will inspect and replace the electric drive module, as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 30, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 98C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 16, 2025.
