This 2024 RAM PROMASTER BEV recall affects the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION MOTOR:CONTROLLER:SOFTWARE Manufactured by Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
Description Of Defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Ram Promaster Battery Electric (BEV) vehicles. Incorrect software in the motor control processor module (MCPA) may cause a loss of drive power.
Conseqence Of Defect
A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will update the MCPA software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 31, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 99B.
