According to the defect report filed with the NHTSA, some vehicles may have been built with a trans-axle wire harness with insufficient wire terminal crimps.  These crimps could result in a high resistance which will cause the on board diagnostic system to set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and shift the vehicle into neutral. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vehicles affected by this problem include:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-CHRYSLER\/200\/2015\">2015 Chrysler 200<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2014-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-JEEP\/CHEROKEE\/2015\">2015 Jeep Cherokee<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-JEEP\/RENEGADE\/2015\">2015 Jeep Renegade<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-RAM\/PROMASTER\/2015\">2015 RAM Promaster<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dealers will update the transmission software to prevent the transmission from shifting into neutral.  Instead, the vehicle will shift into \u201climp mode\u201d and illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) if a high resistance is detected.  Owners wanting more information about the defect are asked to contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
