{"id":7394,"date":"2016-05-30T10:17:22","date_gmt":"2016-05-30T14:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=7394"},"modified":"2016-05-31T14:22:39","modified_gmt":"2016-05-31T18:22:39","slug":"fiat-500-could-experience-loss-of-engine-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=7394","title":{"rendered":"Fiat 500 Could Experience Loss Of Engine Power"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chrysler will be asking the owners of certain 2012-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-FIAT\/500\/2016\">2016 Fiat 500<\/a> and 2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-FIAT\/500E\/2016\">2016 Fiat 500E<\/a> vehicles to return to their dealerships to repair two separate problems that could result in loss of motive power.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>2012-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-FIAT\/500\/2016\">2016 Fiat 500<\/a>:<\/strong>  These vehicles are equipped with a C514 manual transmission which could experience a cracked or damaged clutch diaphragm spring.  If  the spring fails the driver will not be able to shift gears or the vehicle may lose motive power.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The remedy for this recall will include the installation of a clutch pedal limiter and a clutch pedal switch.  Chrysler&#8217;s number for this recall is S34 and the NHTSA campaign number is 16V-302. <\/p>\n<p><strong>2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-FIAT\/500E\/2016\">2016 Fiat 500E<\/a>:<\/strong>   These vehicles could experience transient voltages on the power inverter module (PIM) ground line which may result in a Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) of P1AEE and\/or P0A1B. These codes will shut down the propulsion system, leading to a loss of motive power.  <\/p>\n<p>The fix for this recall will include an update to the PIM software.  Chrysler&#8217;s number for this recall is S26  and the NHTSA campaign number is 16V-303. <\/p>\n<p>The owners of these vehicles will be sent interim notices about the problem and will receive a second notice when parts and a remedy become available.
