The front seat passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child or classify the seat as empty despite it being occupied. As a result, the passenger frontal air bag may not deploy or could deploy incorrectly during a crash. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vehicles affected by this defect include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2015-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-CHEVROLET\/CITY+EXPRESS\/2016\">2016 Chevrolet City Express<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-INFINITI\/JX35\/2013\">2013 Infiniti JX35<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2014-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-INFINITI\/Q50\/2016\">2016 Infiniti Q50<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2014-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-INFINITI\/QX60\/2016\">2016 Infiniti QX60<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/ALTIMA\/2016\">2016 Nissan Altima<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/\/LEAF\/2016\">2016 Nissan Leaf<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2016-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/MAXIMA\/2017\">2017 Nissan Maxima<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2015-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/MURANO\/2016\">2016 Nissan Murano<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/NV200\/2016\">2016 Nissan NV200<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2014-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/NV200+TAXI\/2016\">2016 Nissan NV200 Taxi<\/a><\/li>\n<li> 2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/PATHFINDER\/2017\">2017 Nissan Pathfinder<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2014-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/ROGUE\/2017\">2017 Nissan Rogue<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2013-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/make-NISSAN\/SENTRA\/2016\">2016 Nissan Sentra<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Owners will receive interim notification letters followed by a final notification once a remedy is available. <strong>Owners experiencing issues with OCS are asked to immediately contact the dealer for repairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chevrolet City Express owners will be notified by General Motors and dealers will reprogram the Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) and OCS Electronic Control Unit (ECU).<\/li>\n<li>Altima, Maxima, Murano, Rogue, and Sentra vehicles will have the OCS replaced.<\/li>\n<li>LEAF, NV200, NV200 Taxi, Pathfinder, Infiniti Q50, JX35, and QX60 will have the ECU replaced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Owners wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, Infiniti customer service at 1-888-833-3216 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020.
