Effective immediately, GM has put a stop delivery on new and used vehicle inventory and will be sending owners notices to return to their dealers for repairs.  According to the defect report, the power-steering assist system could fail, increasing the risk to an accident.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dealers will replace the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear assembly.  (The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.) Owners wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300.
