According to the defect report filed with the NHTSA, some vehicles may experience a corrosion induced high resistance short circuit due to liquid intrusion into the Power Liftgate Control Module.  Under certain rare circumstances, the defect could result in a vehicle fire.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dealers will inspect the module and connections for corrosion and replace damaged components as necessary. The mastic shield will be removed from the module and will be replaced with a water shield.  Owners wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
