The CAS alleges that TIPM failures have resulted in incidents of engine stall; airbag non-deployment; random horn, headlight, taillight, door lock, instrument panel and windshield wiper activity; failure of fuel pump shutoff resulting in unintended acceleration; and fires.  The petition includes a list of 70 complaints received by CAS that are allegedly related to Chrysler TIPM failures.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vehicles affected by this investigation include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2008-2014 Chrysler Town And Country<\/li>\n<li>2008-2012 Dodge Caravan<\/li>\n<li>2011-2013 Dodge Durango<\/li>\n<li>2008-2014 Dodge Grand Caravan<\/li>\n<li>2008-2010 Dodge Journey<\/li>\n<li>2009-2010 Dodge Journey AWD<\/li>\n<li>2007-2012 Dodge Nitro<\/li>\n<li>2007,2009 Dodge Nitro 4X2<\/li>\n<li>2007,2009 Dodge Nitro 4X4<\/li>\n<li>2009-2012 Dodge Ram 1500<\/li>\n<li>2010-2012 Dodge Ram 2500<\/li>\n<li>2010-2012 Dodge Ram 3500<\/li>\n<li>2011-2012 Dodge Ram 4500<\/li>\n<li>2011-2012 Dodge Ram 5500<\/li>\n<li>2011-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee<\/li>\n<li>2007-2012 Jeep Liberty<\/li>\n<li>2007-2014 Jeep Wrangler<\/li>\n<li>2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler 2-DR 4X4<\/li>\n<li>2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler 2-DR 4X4 RHD<\/li>\n<li>2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler 4-DR 4X2<\/li>\n<li>2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler 4-DR 4X4<\/li>\n<li>2009 Jeep Wrangler 4-DR 4X4 RHD<\/li>\n<li>2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara<\/li>\n<li>2007 Jeep Wrangler X RHD 4X4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a September 2014 letter, Chrysler Group LLC notified NHTSA of a safety defect in the TIPM in certain 2011 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 3.6L and 5.7L engines <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=6144\">(Recall 14V-530)<\/a>.  According to Chrysler, some Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles may experience a failure in the fuel pump relay within the TIPM which can result in a no-start or stall condition.
