{"id":5134,"date":"2013-10-11T14:01:31","date_gmt":"2013-10-11T18:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=5134"},"modified":"2013-10-11T14:03:19","modified_gmt":"2013-10-11T18:03:19","slug":"toyota-sedan-faulty-wiper-switches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=5134","title":{"rendered":"Toyota Sedan Faulty Wiper Switches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota will be recalling approximately ten thousand 2013 and 2014 model sedans for faulty windshield wiper switches that could short and leave drivers without windshield wipers.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to Toyota, certain terminal contacts on the switch may have been manufactured incorrectly, resulting in a short when the wiper switch is moved from the &#8220;Off&#8221; position to the &#8220;Mist&#8221; position.  The short can cause the windshield wipers to stop working completely affecting the drives visibility and increasing the chances of an accident.  The vehicles involved in the recall include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2013-2014 Camry<\/li>\n<li>2013-2014 Camry Hybrid<\/li>\n<li>2013 Avalon<\/li>\n<li>2013 Avalon Hybrid<\/li>\n<li>2014 Corolla <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Owners of the affected Toyota vehicles will be notified by mail to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer to have the wiper switch replaced.
