Approximately 46,000 vehicles manufactured between June 26, 2012 to February 5, 2013 are affected by this problem.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to the recall report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), some Ram 1500 4&#215;4 trucks could experience a configuration mismatch upon starting the vehicle, which could  result in the ECS warning lamp to illuminate and disable the system.  A disabled ECS system could result in loss of directional control and increase the chance of an accident. <\/p>\n<p>Chrysler will be asking owners to take their vehicles in to have the ECS module software updated, free of charge.
