According to GM overheating of the circuit boards in the Generator Control Module (GCM) could result in loss of battery charge, the illumination of  the engine malfunction indicator light, and in extreme cases, a fire in the trunk.  Two trunk fires have already been reported as a result of the issue.<!--more-->  The vehicles involved in the recall include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/?make=CHEVROLET&#038;model=MALIBU+ECO&#038;year=2013\">2013 Chevrolet Malibu ECO<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/?make=BUICK&#038;model=LACROSSE&#038;year=2013\"> 2012-1013 Buick LaCrosse<\/a><\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/recall\/?make=BUICK&#038;model=REGAL&#038;year=2013\">2012-1013 Buick Regal<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Owners receiving a recall notice will be asked to take their vehicles to their dealership to have the GCM tested and replaced as necessary.
