The investigation was started earlier this year after the NHTSA received <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calemonlaw.com\/blog\/?p=2046\">668 complaints of inaccurate fuel gauge readings<\/a>.  The repairs could affect up to 865,000 vehicles in the United States.  According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov\/cars\/problems\/tsb\/tsbsummary.cfm?tsbs_id=10041526&#038;prod_id=708768&#038;year=2007&#038;make=GMC&#038;model=ENVOY&#038;type=VEHICLE\">Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)<\/a> filed with the NHTSA, the vehicles involved  include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2005-2007<\/strong> Buick Rainier<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005-2006<\/strong> Chevrolet SSR<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005-2007<\/strong> Chevrolet Trailblazer<\/li>\n<li><strong>2006<\/strong> Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005<\/strong> Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT 370<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005-2007<\/strong> GMC Envoy<\/li>\n<li><strong>2006<\/strong> GMC Envoy XL<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005<\/strong> GMC Envoy XL 370<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005<\/strong> GMC Envoy XUV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has closed an investigation into faulty fuel gauges in some 2005-2007 GMC, Chevrolet, and Buick sport utility vehicles, after GM agreed to pay 50% of the repair fees.
