The issue stems from a software error that may cause the <strong>12.3-inch instrument panel monitor<\/strong> to fail at vehicle startup, leaving drivers without critical information such as vehicle speed, brake system warnings, and tire pressure alerts.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This recall covers some of Toyota and Lexus\u2019 most popular models, including the <strong>Toyota RAV4, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Venza, Toyota Camry, Toyota 4Runner, and Lexus LS, RX, and TX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Causing the Instrument Panel Failure?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The affected vehicles use a <strong>12.3-inch combination meter display<\/strong> in the instrument panel to show gauges, warning lights, and important driver information. Toyota discovered that the system\u2019s software was <strong>improperly programmed<\/strong>, causing unnecessary data to be repeatedly written to its memory device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, this <strong>accelerated memory wear<\/strong> can cause the monitor to <strong>go blank at startup and remain in that state<\/strong>.
